A Photographic Story of a Charming Wedding in Dolomites, Cortina d’Ampezzo and Lake Ghedina
{ Marcello and Chiara | Cortina d’Ampezzo}
Have you ever tasted typical dishes from Cortina d’Ampezzo? In my opinion, among its cuisine wonders proudly stand out casunziei. You wonder what they are! It is a first course variety, timeless, with a hint of tradition, nature, home, taste of forest and alpine meadows. These tortlellini filled with red beetroot literally melt in your mouth, especially if homemade, by hand, with love. Each bite of this culinary variety transports you to a world of sweetness and delicacy.
Here you can find a nice recipe if you want to try prepare them by yourself!
Chiara and Marcello were born among these flavours and fragrances of the mountains, they belong to Cortina D’Ampezzo, frequently called the Queen of the Dolomites. The land of origin is vitally important to this young couple, that is why they celebrated their wedding on the shores of Lake Ghedina, in an intimate atmosphere of the vast Dolomites.
By the way, Cortina d’Ampezzo is famous for being a vip mountain and ski exclusive resort in Italy and worldwide. Also the town is one of the preferred locations for destination weddings. This tiny town in the Italian Apls has much to offer and adapts to any kind of need.
The scenery is outstanding, imprisoned by the mountain panorama and governed by Monte Cristiallo. Just a few minutes and you are outside the town, where you will merge with virgin nature, surrounded by alpine lakes and their crystal clear emerald waters, naturals parks, and a tons of ski-lift structures for a winter vacation and infinite paths and tracks for summer hiking.
